Painted Turtle

I painted a Painted Turtle for the Yonge North York Bell Box Mural Project!

I think at least half the people who spoke with me didn't know what it was. I got a lot of guesses of fish, but also frog and iguana. For the truly curious though... there's a secret drawing on the back that gives it away.

A big thank you to the City of Toronto and Yonge North York BIA who funded this project. So many residents in the towers nearby came out to thank me for beautifying the neighbourhood. Many turtle species call North York home. On Turtle Island, it's turtles all the way down
